Our autumn tour of The Doubtful Guest kick-started in Plymouth two weeks ago, to great acclaim. Hoipolloi have staged work at the Theatre Royal’s Drum Theatre in the past but we were delighted to move upstairs into the TR’s larger main space, where the show played to extremely appreciative audiences. Here’s a very complimentary review from the opening night in Plymouth.
The show’s at the Nuffield Theatre in Southampton at the moment. And those of you in Cambridge should beware: Edward Gorey’s peculiar creature will be scuttling about the Cambridge Arts Theatre next week! Hoipolloi are delighted to performing the show in our home town, at the theatre where Floating was such a great success last December. Tickets for Cambridge are available here.
After the Cambridge run, the company will have a well-deserved week off, before heading to West Yorkshire Playhouse followed by the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff. For the full tour schedule and all the box office details, click here.
See you at the theatre soon and, to whet your appetite in the meantime, scroll down for a video preview of the show!
